Indian Development Foundation (IDF), formerly known as the Indian Leprosy Foundation, is a prominent national NGO dedicated to Health, Education, Women Empowerment, and Development for over 40 years. Registered under the Societies Registration Act and Bombay Public Trusts Act, IDF offers tax-exempt donations under Section 80-G of the Income Tax Act, providing free services to all citizens without discrimination.
Supported by a team of eleven distinguished trustees, including professionals from diverse backgrounds, IDF operates from its main office in Mumbai, with regional offices in Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, and Jaipur. With a dedicated core team of over 12 trustees and a vast network of 5000+ social ambassadors worldwide, IDF has established strong partnerships with volunteers from schools, colleges, NSS, and corporates, ensuring impactful humanitarian service delivery.
To improve the quality of education through targeted interventions across three main verticals. (a) Access to Education, (b) Provision to Education, and (c) Promotion of Education.
